Space Drop Solder Kit

So I have finished soldering this kit. Everything seems to be soldered properly, but the display will not stay on after I release the button. I am just getting into electronics, so any pointers would be super great!

Also would love any recommendations on learning about transistors, capacitors, and just learning about the process of designing my own PCB and also troubleshooting PCBs/soldering projects!

Okay, so I removed the transistor after watching

. That led me to putting a new one in. So if I touch the input and output, the screen stays on. If I don't it doesn't. Try to figure out next steps...

Any ideas?
