Some ARC Raiders quests look simple on the briefing screen, then turn into a messy lap around the Buried City while things shoot at you from every angle. "Eyes on the Prize" is one of those. The objective is just getting a rooftop surveillance rig running again, but the real trick is showing up ready and knowing what to scan for. Before you even queue up, make sure you've got three Wires sorted; if you're short, check your stash or sort it the easy way through ARC Raiders Items so you're not gambling your whole run on random loot spawns.

Prep that saves the run

Bring three Wires, period. Yes, you can sometimes pull them from toolboxes or tech clutter mid-raid, but that's the kind of plan that works right up until you get chased off a floor by drones or hear footsteps behind you. Do the boring bit up front. Then the smart bit: put the Wires into your safe pockets immediately. People forget this and pay for it. You die once, the quest items drop, and suddenly you're back to square one, annoyed and poorer. With safe pockets, even a rough extraction doesn't erase your progress.

Finding the roof without losing your mind

The quest hint says a "secluded roof terrace southwest of the Southern Station." That sounds clear until you're actually in the Buried City, where "southwest" can mean three different levels and a broken staircase. Aim for the southwestern edge near Plaza Rosa and the highway line. Don't wait for a nice waypoint because you won't get one. Instead, look for the stuff that stands out: blue tarps and a patch of solar panels catching the light. Once you spot those tarps draped over rooftop clutter, you're close. Work up carefully, take the quiet routes, and don't sprint through open rooftops like you're trying to get noticed.

Powering it up and getting paid

On the terrace you're looking for a yellow electrical junction box tied into the solar setup. Walk up, interact, spend the three Wires, and it completes right away. No hold-the-point timer, no scripted wave, no dramatic countdown. The danger is everything around it. Plaza Rosa is busy: AI patrol paths, players rotating through for loot, and the usual "I heard shots so I'm pushing" crowd. After the quest pops, you've got a choice. One, reset your route and extract clean. Two, keep looting and accept you might be fighting for it. The reward is worth having early: Extended Shotgun Mag II and Extended Medium Mag II, the kind of attachments that turn a near-win into an actual win. If you're the type who likes having that edge without spending hours scrounging, a lot of players also top up gear and supplies through U4GM before they jump back in, then use the run itself for progress instead of panic-scavenging.
